I'm in a bad mood due to all the stress from 30 pages of paper that need to be written during finals week. As such the theme for this week will be me hating on several players and teams I find annoying.
30. San Diego Padres (3-11)
Chase Headley 2011 4 HRs 44 RBI's - Headley 2012 13 games, 4 HRs 12 RBI's
29. Houston Astros (5-8)
The pitching may keep this team from being the worst ever. Lucas Harrell and his 2.55 ERA has been a nice surprise.
28. Oakland A's (7-7)
Seriously Bartolo Colon? 38 straight strikes?

27. Chicago Cubs (3-10)
At least Starlin Castro isn't a complete waste of space.
26. Seattle Mariners (7-7)
Where the hell did Kyle Seager come from? If anyone else was on base he might have more than 6 knocked in.
25. Pittsburgh Pirates (5-7)
Dead last in On Base, Average, Runs and Slugging. The 2.80 team ERA won't last long.
24. Minnesota Twins (4-9)
It turns out Josh Willingham can hit anywhere. 5 Hrs and a 1.111 OPS through 13 games.
23. Miami Marlins (7-6)
Mike Stanton career HRs: 56 Giancarlo Stanton career HRs: 0. Stanton 2012 HRs: 0 Omar Infante 2012 HRs: 4. Shocking.
22. New York Mets (7-5)
It's easy to forget how good David Wright was just a few years ago. Tied with Darryl Strawberry for the most RBIs in Mets history at the age of 29. Its only a matter of time before all their stars are injured.
21. Cleveland Indians (6-5)
Locking up Carlos Santana for 5 more years may be the best move the Indians have made in years.
20. Colorado Rockies (6-6)
Jaime Moyer won a baseball game this week and he is 4 months older than my mother.
19. Kansas City Royals (3-9)
They've lost seven in a row but Billy Butler is off to a hot start.
18. Baltimore Orioles (8-5)
Its only 13 games but leading the AL East is always impressive.
17. Cincinnati Reds (5-8)
Scored one run in 4 of 5 games between 4/13 and 4/18. Carlos Beltran career vs Mat Latos: 3-4 3 HRs. Maybe pitch around him next time.
I've been labeled a Reds hater so I might as well embrace it.
16. Chicago White Sox (6-6)
Jake Peavy has been very good. 0.81 WHIP 2.75 ERA 21 K's in 3 starts. It won't last.
15. Philadelphia Phillies (6-7)
The good news, Cliff Lee threw 10 shutout innings on Wednesday. The bad news Matt Cain was just as good. This offense is really hurting.
14. Los Angeles Dodgers (10-3)
Can we pump the brakes on the Dodgers greatness talks? All except one of their wins have come against the Padres or Pirates. And don't worry Matt Kemp will come back to Earth at some point.
I've also been labeled a Matt Kemp hater.
13. San Francisco Giants (6-6)
Santiago Casilla has the look of a quality replacement for the beard, but what the hell is wrong with Timmy?
12. Milwaukee Brewers (6-7)
Corey Hart is leading almost every offensive category and no pitcher has more than one win. Corey Hart is still a douche.
11. Atlanta Braves (8-5)
This team is starting to look dangerous. With the exception of Jair Jurrjens the starter have been pretty good. Brandon Beachy has a .75 ERA and the offense is starting to click.
10. Boston Red Sox (4-8)
If they figure out the pitching the offense will take care of the rest. Beckett and Lester both have ERAs north of 5. But hey, its better than Mark Melancon's 49.50.
9. Los Angeles Angels (4-9)
They can't keep playing this bad right? Eventually Pujols will hit his 30+ HRs and the pitching will keep them in games.
8. Arizona Diamondbacks (7-6)
Justin Upton and Chris Young both battling injuries is rough on this offense. Josh Collmenter now has an ERA over 10 in 3 starts.
Trevor Bauer is breathing down his neck all the way from Mobile Alabama.
7. Toronto Blue Jays (6-6)
The pitching has carried the offense a little bit to this point, but I think that is about to change. Adam Lind Brett Lawrie and Joey Bats are about to go off.
6. Washington Nationals (10-4)
No Mike Morse...No Drew Storen...No problem. The offense has been good enough and the pitching has been phenomenal so far. 1.92 ERA through 14 games is absolutely absurd.
5. St Louis Cardinals (9-4)
Outside of Adam Wainwright this team has been unbeatable. Even Berkman heading to the 15 day DL open up more playing time for Matt Carpenter who has 11 RBIs in 24 at bats. Allen Craig's return is right around the corner.
4. New York Yankees (7-6)
Curtis Granderson hit 3 HRs on Thursday night.
They got a good outing from Phil Hughes tonight, but Ivan Nova has the lowest starters ERA at 4.15. The other 4 are all over 5.
3. Tampa Bay Rays (7-6)
Evan Longoria has 5 errors already this season, 3 in one game. Luke Scott is on pace for 37 HRs and 174 RBIs.
2. Detroit Tigers (9-4)
Beat up on the Royals but got humbled at home by the Rangers. Verlander vs. Feliz Saturday afternoon...mark that on your calendars.
1. Texas Rangers (11-2)
Man was I wrong about the Rangers. I thought losing two straight World Series would have some kind of hangover effect but offensively and pitching wise this team has been nearly perfect. Joe Nathan is the only question mark to me, but Alexi Ogando is more than capable of closing if need be.
30. San Diego Padres (3-11)
Chase Headley 2011 4 HRs 44 RBI's - Headley 2012 13 games, 4 HRs 12 RBI's
