Talk about the monster game of Pineda today as he blew away the Tigers in Detroit with 9 K's in a little more than 6 IP. Is this guy for real or what?

Pineda is dirty but he is plagued with that Seattle offense behind him, it will continue to limit him just like it does king Felix. Felix should have won 25 games with the year he had last year but when you have to throw a shutout to get a w it will really hurt your fantasy value and your career as a whole

I assume him is Montero...Actually the Yankees future catcher is Sanchez who is a couple of two years away.

Good pick, Atlanta. You made me pick Trout earlier than I wanted. I now own Jason Heyward, Bryce Harper and Mike Trout in a Dynasty league. Trade negotiations begin in 3, 2, 1... Bobman

That is too funny..Come next month a whole new group of prospects will be drafted and the year after there will be more. Drafting prospects is like panning for gold. We are only in round 6 of a 16 team draft in a new league. That equals TOP 100 Ranked players being left behind...I love it...

I take your point, Jim. But do you really think Bryce Harper and Mike Trout will BOTH fail??
My philosophy is similar to the Jays' drafting philosophy. (And I say this being friends with the Head of Amateur Scouting for the Jays.)
The Jays are now drafting high risk/high reward players.
Why?
Well, you're right that the chance of failure is higher, but the chance of SUPERSTARDOM is also higher. Bryce Harper will either be a top 5 player in the MLB - or a complete flame out. I'd rather take the risk of getting one of the BEST players in baseball in round 3 for the next 15 years - as opposed to getting a very good player for a few years... I play to WIN. And that means taking RISKS...
