I need an explanation as to how you guys can bid on a player that was was drafted, and never released?
Texas drafted Bryan LaHair # 374 overall in the 24th round of the draft this season.
Is there anybody who can keep track of these things before guys get robbed mercilessly?

Is there anybody who can keep track of these things before guys get robbed mercilessly? Ya the GM's roster page is supposed to keep track of who is on their team. As this post ( xgentlemen.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=529) explains everyone had until April 8th at midnight to finalize their roster. At which point any player not on the Yahoo roster or in the minor leagues becomes a free agent. Texas had over a week to notice that a player he drafted was not on his Yahoo roster, LaHair was not on Texas' Yahoo roster until he saw that somebody bid on him and picked him up a few minutes ago. |

If you check Texas' roster, he has LaHair listed as a BN player, under OF, on his majors roster.

He had all kinds of time to correct the mistake and April 8th at midnight ANY PLAYER NOT ON YAHOO ROSTERS, EXTENDED DL, OR THE MINORS BECAME A FREE AGENT. |

Boston's bid was on April 19th at 5:02 am EDT. Even if LaHair were to be declared a FA, then by bidding rules, he would go to me with a bid of 15 points. Commishes need to go over this one, and declare him a Horned Frog or an Expo. |

I think the precedent has already been set. I forgot to add Miguel Olivo by the deadline last year and lost him to free agency (without complaining because it was my own fault).

On April 5th I declared in a thread entitled Yahoo 30 man rosters my ruling...
All players were to be added on yahoo by Sunday at midnight on Week 1 or player ownership would be lost. LaHair is property of Montreal
